If you’re planning holiday with MV Maldives Princess Liveaboard (http://maldivesprincess.com) or other boat managed by Mr. Hathim Hassan (the Manager of MV Maldives Princess and Managing Director of Island Pearl Pvt Ltd.,), please reconsider after read this.

This boat is run under very poor management, and should be avoid.
Not only this boat on watch list but possibly the boat manager and the management company running multiple liveaboard boat.

No cruise director or no dive manager on board during our all 6 weeks charter. No one in charge.  No first aid kit on board. This boat need major safety overhaul.

Please note, all crew of the boat and dive guides are excellent and they did best effort during our trip.

We writing to express our concerns about a recent incident we experienced on liveabord M/V Maldives Princess which under the management, Mr. Hathim Hassan (Tel: +9609196637), the Manager of MV Maldives Princess and Managing Director of Island Pearl Pvt Ltd.,

We would like to bring to your attention the fact that we received extremely poor service during our several charter.

1. 30th March – 06th April 2013 – 7 nights
Payment charter for MV Maldives Princess settled as a invoice but the management denied provide MV Maldives Princess. Instead, they send us to other vessel which different standard (size of the boat, bedding configuration, no Nitrox onboard).

2. 10th August – 17 August 2013 – 7 nights
Dive boat was broken next day of trip (first dive day), loss of 2-3 dives. No single apology or compensation for this incident from the management of boat.

3. 08th February – 22th February 2014 – 14 nights
Again, dive boat was broken on first dive day. This was supposed to southern atolls trip but we couldn’t move because fixing dive boat whole day and of course we couldn’t do any dive.
Again, No single apology or compensation for this incident from the management of boat.
The last day of trip, someone (which introduced himself as a owner of boat) came onboard and he was drunk and trying to assault one of the guest. At this time, the manager of the boat was on board but he did nothing and no single word of apology.

4. 30th March – 13th April 2014 – 14 nights
We arrived on 30th March at night and trying to check-in to the boat (MV Maldives Princess) but the management denied to provide check-in and force us to stay in hotel at Male. We are able to check-in only next day noon. The result, loss of dive on first day.
The management of boat did not compensate hotel payment in Male and loss of dive.
And again, No single apology to the guests from the management of boat.

During the 08 ~ 22th Feb 2014 & 30th Mar – 13th Apr 2014 (4 weeks trip), no Nitrox onboard (they advertising free Nitrox).

5. 09-17th August and 21-28th December 2014
The management unilaterally cancel above two trips. The result, guests needed cancel the flight and accommodation. No compensation for this incident from the management of boat.
